Global Manufacturer Launches Precision-Built Multi-Site Ecommerce Ecosystem

Ralliant is a global industrial technology organization with a half dozen operating companies serving B2B customers across sensing, precision measurement, and manufacturing markets. Ralliant has around 7,000 employees in more than 50 locations worldwide, with annual revenue of roughly $2.1 billion.

Challenges

Over time, Ralliant’s digital ecosystem became highly fragmented. Each operating company maintained its own website, built on legacy platforms with inconsistent functionality, outdated user experiences, and significant technical debt.

Some sites functioned primarily as marketing brochures, others as static product catalogs, while a few relied on basic quote request forms or disconnected customer portals. Each operating company relied on different ERP systems, making direct integrations expensive, brittle, and difficult to maintain.

Internally, the organization faced additional complexity: leadership wanted to launch ecommerce capabilities for certain brands, but each company was at a different stage of digital maturity. Leaders needed a way to modernize digital capabilities across brands without forcing every business into a rigid, one-size-fits-all solution.

Solutions

Americaneagle.com was chosen to design and implement a unified, scalable digital framework for four of Ralliant’s operating companies (Anderson-Negele, Gems Sensors, Hengstler, and Qualitrol). Between them, these companies maintained 19 individual websites with multi-language requirements and an extremely complex product catalog where a single item may have over 15 million customizable variations.

Rather than rebuilding individual sites in isolation, our team created a multi-tenant architecture that could be reused across operating companies, accelerating delivery while reducing duplication and long term maintenance costs. At the core of the solution is a modular foundation built on the BigCommerce B2B platform that supports marketing content, rich product catalogs, quoting, and both B2B and D2C commerce. The framework addresses common requirements across brands, such as content management, advanced search, and systems integrations, while allowing each operating company to tailor workflows, features, and experiences based on its specific business needs and digital readiness.

To manage the complexity of multiple back-office systems, a centralized middleware-based integration architecture was implemented. This approach eliminated fragile, brand-specific point-to-point integrations and enabled reusable API endpoints for real-time access to pricing, availability, lead times, and customer specific rules regardless of which ERP (JDE, SAP) or PIM (Perfion) a given brand used. As a result, new operating companies can be onboarded more quickly without re-architecting the entire system.

The framework also introduced advanced ecommerce capabilities that did not exist previously. Customers can now access account-specific catalogs, view contract pricing, configure complex products, generate quotes, and place orders directly online. For build-to-order products, the solution supports dynamic workflows that calculate real-time pricing and lead times based on customer rules, quantities, and production constraints.

By partnering with Americaneagle.com to build a flexible, future-ready digital foundation, Ralliant now supports consistent customer experiences, enables digital self-service at scale, and is positioned to expand globally, onboard new brands, and evolve its commerce capabilities.
