Scaling Global Digital Presence, Capabilities, and Rebrand with Advent International

Advent International is one of the largest and longest-serving independent private equity partnerships. Since their founding in 1984, they have invested more than $70 billion in over 405 private equity investments across 42 countries.

Challenges

Advent International was working on a comprehensive branding initiative and related strategies to continue to extend their business reach. A significant piece in the unveiling of their new corporate brand was the redevelopment of their enterprise website at AdventInternational.com.

The new website for their diverse and widespread business partnerships would require a well-structured, easy-to-maintain platform implementation.

Other redevelopment priorities included streamlining page and asset templates that could be used to expedite updates and promote ongoing brand consistency. An interactive global map to showcase the locations of the expansive private equity relationships maintained by Advent International was also needed.

An aggressive timeline for the completion of the new website was driven by the nonnegotiable scheduling of an international corporate launch for their new brand.

Solutions

With Americaneagle.com as their established agency partner, Advent International teamed with their trusted WordPress solutions team to expedite redevelopment aligning with, and showcasing, new corporate branding.

Working with a design consultant’s art files that had been produced for a wide range of branded assets, the development team at Americaneagle.com built custom content blocks that could be efficiently reused for specific website features, and unique WordPress block patterns to promote ongoing maintenance consistency, as well as content management independence, post-launch. The home page was also recreated to be easily managed and maintained within WordPress.

Americaneagle.com designed custom post types specifically tailored to Advent International’s relational data. Some post types, such as new business investment and relationship announcements, are highly regulated. A detailed publishing plan for sensitive posts ensures approval processes, distribution considerations, internal notifications, and timing.

One of the prominent features within the website redevelopment included an interactive global map of Advent International’s business collaborations. The map would seamlessly merge location data, assets, and descriptions that the internal team could manage within WordPress. Engaging hotspot animation, user controls, and sophisticated design attributes all add to the new map experience while also complying with global accessibility standards.

During the development sprint, the team balanced sophisticated programming priorities with a meticulous, high-volume content migration process. A wide array of document formats and data sources were successfully migrated to structured WordPress layouts optimized to perform.

To promote confident and independent maintenance of the new solutions, Americaneagle.com provided Advent International with thorough technical documentation and comprehensive training for their team members. This specialized instruction focused on managing the site’s custom features, allowing internal administrators to seamlessly update corporate assets, modify layouts, and quickly associate global personnel with new investments.
