Following Vizient’s acquisition of a prominent healthcare management consultant firm, Kaufman Hall, the organization faced the critical task of integrating two incongruent digital platforms while sunsetting the Kaufman Hall website. This required intelligent harmonizing of content, branding, and taxonomies between the two established healthcare brands, considering their established digital frameworks, governance, standards, and user bases.
With this integration of thousands of digital resources and assets, Vizient was also aiming to refine personalization strategies throughout the website to maximize efficient paths to relevant content for their established user personas. Vizient partnered with our team at Americaneagle.com to reimagine and reorganize a large collective of digital components and assets within Sitecore. A merged library of content was to be successfully oriented to the needs of both customers and prospective customers, categorized and tagged for intelligently personalized user experiences. On an aggressive project timeline the team prioritized strategies to maximize migration efficiencies within an intuitive website hierarchy, consistently adding important digital capabilities and elite platform performance.

This award-winning collaboration began with developers successfully executing a complex content migration automating the transfer of thousands of content pieces from kaufmanhall.com (Drupal) to vizientinc.com (Sitecore). This automation reduced migration time as well as the potential for manual data entry errors, ensuring considerations for content integrity and alignment with Vizient’s digital taxonomy and governance standards within Sitecore’s platform solutions.
Nine key dynamic components were designed within Sitecore to intelligently personalize content and user experiences for established brand personas and relationships. Composable Sitecore platform XM products were implemented, including headless services (Next.js), Personalize, CDP, Content Hub, and Vercel. These seamlessly connected solutions not only tailor user-specific content and assets within the new website’s dynamic components, but also include variations for rotating A/B/C performance testing to inform timely, ongoing, data-driven optimization. Well-structured internal taxonomies for site content and seamless connection to Sitecore CDP profiles and data enable fast, intelligent, and flexible content surfacing. Defined personas help refine highly-relevant user journeys for users such as C-suite roles, pharmacy professionals, and other specific positions within healthcare operations. This personalized approach to dynamic website content is helping to successfully guide customers and prospects to Vizient insights and offerings that are most relevant to them, impactfully enhancing customer success.
