Fitness Center Franchise Finds Digital Marketing Success
Fitness World operates 15 fitness centers across British Columbia, Canada, and aims to help members reach their fitness goals through convenient locations and low-cost memberships.
After going through a complete rebrand in 2020, Fitness World was experiencing several challenges. First, the existing website was built on an outdated version of WordPress which created limitations on what changes could be made on certain pages. It was also facing a number of challenges from a digital marketing perspective. For example, it wasn’t showing up in local searches, it was spending too much money on paid advertisements and not seeing enough return, and it had a slew of negative reviews from before the rebrand. As a result, Fitness World was seeking a partner that could reimagine its entire digital presence.
After reviewing Fitness World’s business objectives, Americaneagle.com got to work on crafting Fitness World a profitable digital marketing strategy. To maximize return-on-ad-spend (ROAS), the paid strategy was reimagined, now focusing on search engines such as Google and Bing, and social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram. In an effort to further Fitness World’s position on the search engine results page (SERP), a robust SEO plan was executed. This included new focus and contextual keywords to be incorporated on primary website pages as well as incorporating localized content, page optimizations, and links to allow people in specific locations to quickly and easily find a Fitness World near them.
Additionally, a regular blog posting schedule was created and implemented to help Fitness World further grow its audience and increase engagement on each post. The “welcome” email drip campaign was rebuilt as a way to encourage positive connections between new members and the Fitness World franchise as a whole.
Since partnering with Americaneagle.com, Fitness World’s digital presence has been significantly improved. Monthly sales have nearly tripled and one-third of all sales are now from the website. Paid campaigns are performing better and driving more qualified traffic and membership sales. The number of keywords for which Fitness World is ranking has greatly increased. Their fitness club locations are now successfully displaying on local search pages.
