Credit Union Accelerates Digital Engagement and Growth
Serving its members since 1977, First Service Credit Union (FSCU) is a firmly established regional credit union with 14 community-engaged branches serving Greater Houston, Texas.
With their content management system due for a version upgrade, First Service Credit Union partnered with Americaneagle.com to update the design, capabilities, and performance of their website. Modern Kentico digital experience platform (DXP) tools would be at the core of the rebuild. The team would specifically prioritize user experience, accessibility, maintenance efficiencies, search, and integrated financial tools for the credit union’s members as well as website guests. An ambitious timeline was put in place to have the new website ready and successfully launched before the end of the calendar year.
The new website implementation was delivered ahead of the project deadline by Americaneagle.com and has greatly enhanced the website design, accessibility, capabilities, and performance for First Service Credit Union.
The refreshed website design aligned with recent physical branch renovations and stronger corporate branding. In both the digital and physical locations, the engaging, open, uncluttered spaces add design sophistication, navigability, consistency, and clean, fintech (financial technology) brand interpretation. The modernized aesthetics are consistently applied across the new website.
First Service Credit Union consistently prioritizes a commitment to their community that is fully inclusive. Their aim is to successfully serve the financial health of all neighbors. Teaming with accessibility experts at Americaneagle.com, best practices from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) have steered successful accessibility advancements throughout the new website.
Advanced capabilities for website users have been fully integrated into the redeveloped website. Third-party financial tool data and formulas seamlessly enable easy-to-use financial calculators. An updated branch and ATM location finder is now integrated with real-time data sources as well. An advanced site search now intelligently provides users with relevant content, news, and resources, as well as smart page-not-found (404) suggestions. Prominent FAQs and robust blogs provide users with resources to get their questions answered quickly. A new member log-in provides personalized, secure account access and user experiences.
Enhanced website features were built for a better end-user experience as well as simplified administration and maintenance for the internal team at FSCU. The project included extensive documentation and custom training to promote ongoing digital success and independence. Native Kentico tools for page builders, forms, widgets, and workflows provide the team with consistent, high-performance digital solutions. Customized solutions provide the team with greater ease of updating content—including promotions, products, and rates—while including more flexibility for visual layouts and information delivery.
The new website’s design, accessibility, capabilities, and performance positions FSCU at the leading edge of digital engagement with their credit union members and guests. Customer conversions have led success data since launch, increasing new member applications by 13% and loan applications by 7% compared to the same time period the previous year.
