Historically, Sitecore Symposium is the biggest Sitecore event of the year. However, there’s a new Sitecore event making its debut this year: Sitecore’s DX series. After Sitecore Symposium 2022 Chicago, Sitecore announced that Symposium will now be hosted every other year, rather than every year. In its place is the Sitecore DX series, which is a series of smaller, regional events across the globe that are designed to be tailored to specific challenges and opportunities in global markets. Transition to Sitecore DX Series
In 2023, Sitecore decided to alternate Symposium with regional conferences titled Sitecore DX series in response to feedback they received for more targeted, regional events. These regional events are personalized and tailored to respond to specific challenges and opportunities in global markets, giving Sitecore’s customers and partners the opportunity to participate in conversations tailored to their needs. These regional one-day conferences are hosted around the globe alongside Sitecore’s trusted and valued partners. Throughout these events, attendees will hear exciting announcements, informative keynotes, mainstage spotlight sessions on market trends, and participate in breakout sessions on how to speed up the move to a composable architecture.
Sitecore DX Series: A Closer Look
The Sitecore DX series is unique in the sense that it’s a one-day conference that happens in different regional areas around the globe. Because Symposium has been transitioned to once every other year, the DX series occur the year between. Throughout these one-day events, the conversations are tailored to fit the needs of the businesses in the area in which the event takes place, allowing for more constructive and engaging conversations. The day starts off with welcome remarks, a keynote by the Sitecore CEO, and showcases by Sitecore’s partners. Following a short break, Sitecore’s CPO presents a keynote and then another showcase by a partner for attendees. After lunch, attendees will be able to engage in interactive breakout sessions to learn best practices and get tips from Sitecore experts and solution partners. Attendees will then see a guest keynote and expert panel to learn more about composable strategies and how to upgrade to a SaaS-powered DXP.
The Sitecore DX Series and the Sitecore Symposium vary in the foundation of the events. The DX series is regional conferences that are tailored to meet the specific needs of different global markets. On the other hand, the Symposium is a much larger singular event that gives attendees the opportunity to learn more about future advancements in personalization and digital transformation. Sitecore DX Dubai 2024
Sitecore DX Dubai was held on February 28, 2024, at the Bluewaters Forum by Banyan Tree Dubai in Dubai UAE. This event was the last stop on Sitecore DX's global tour, giving executive decision-makers, marketers, and practitioners the insights needed to realize a composable future.
An array of executives took the stage to share Sitecore's brand vision and aspirations, as well as updates to the product roadmap:

Sitecore DX 2023 London
Sitecore DX 2023 London began with an introduction to the event and welcome remarks by Jose Valles, Sitecore President of EMEA, who then introduced Steve Tzikakis for his keynote speech. During his keynote speech, Tzikakis emphasized to everyone in attendance that despite recent economic headwinds, the present offers an opportunity to reshape how digital experiences are delivered to their customers. The keynote ended on a high note with the announcement that Sitecore will soon be offering deep integration with ChatGPT across several of its products.
Shivvy Jervis, Innovation Forecaster and one of the most sought-after female speakers, presented a keynote that discussed the ways the human brain processes information and the importance of using emotion when speaking to both customers and employees. Following Jervis’s keynote, Dave O’Flanagan detailed how Sitecore is seeing brands shift from DXPs to a SaaS-powered, composable tech stack that provides a flexible and future-proof ecosystem. He also walked attendees through all the latest innovations and features Sitecore has been working on across its entire product portfolio.
One of the main goals of this event was to ensure that attendees left with a strong plan and actionable insights to get on a composable path. Lee Miles led an expert panel that focused on where each of the customers are in their journey toward composable solutions.
There were two mainstage showcases at DX 2023 London: Accenture with BDR Thermea and EPAM with Cytiva, and they both expressed the many benefits of implementing composable, cloud-native solutions. Microsoft also presented a showcase to discuss the latest advances in generative artificial intelligence (AI) and how we can all take advantage of the new technology. In the afternoon, there were many breakout sessions in which Sitecore product experts joined the sponsoring solution and technology partners to discuss a variety of topics including managing content for assets, modernizing your martech stack, and the best ways to migrate to XM Cloud.
At every major Sitecore event, they designate a charity that’s benefiting various communities around the country and world. At DX 2023 London, Valles shared the important work that the British Red Cross, a Sitecore customer, has been doing to help those who have been affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and pledged a donation in support.
Sitecore DX 2023 Boston
Sitecore kicked off the first DX 2023 Conference in North America in Boston, bringing together hundreds of individuals to learn the key to accelerating their unique journeys with a composable digital experience platform. This conference featured an agenda designed in close collaboration with Sitecore’s solution and technology partners to help brands determine a strategy that help future-proof their tech stack based on their existing digital journey – while at the same time delivering digital experiences to customers.
Taking the stage in Boston were Sitecore customers Avid Technology, Bright Horizons, BDR Thermea, New England Biolabs, Mandarin Oriental Hotel along with guest keynote speaker, Wall Street Journal best-selling author Ann Handley. During her keynote speech, Handley shared how the adoption of formerly controversial technology gives us a view into how new AI-driven technology can become a valuable tool when used intentionally. She ended her keynote by launching a new guide co-created with Sitecore to help brands be smart movers as they prioritize tech, experience, data, and content strategies.
Throughout the event in Boston, attendees were able to engage in conversations with colleagues to discuss how they are moving through their journey to composable architecture. Along with the panels and keynotes, attendees could participate in breakout sessions that are tailored to their individual needs and network with one another. The next Sitecore DX events are set to occur in Minneapolis and Sydney.
Sitecore DX Sydney 2023
Sitecore DX Sydney was hosted at the Allianz Stadium on September 12, 2023. During this free one-day event, attendees connected with digital experience leaders, marketers, and practitioners to help brands realize a composable future. Attendees heard from and connect with Sitecore executives as they highlighted details on Sitecore's brand vision and product roadmap. The Sitecore executive lineup was as follows: Steve Stathis Tzikakis, Hannah Gap, Acting CMO, Dave O'Flanagan, and Lee Miles.
Sitecore DX Minneapolis 2023
Sitecore DX Minneapolis 2023 was hosted at the Radisson Blu in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 4, 2023. The event featured the same executive lineup as the other Sitecore DX events in 2023 and highlighted all of the opportunities to realize a composable future. One thing that made Sitecore DX Minneapolis interesting is that it was part of an exciting week that included Sitecore MVP Summit on October 2-3 and SUGCON North America on October 5-6.
