Leeco Pro Customer Portal Delivers Personalization and Performance

For over 100 years, Leeco Steel has been a trusted leader in carbon, HSLA, and alloy steel supply. Known as ‘The Strongest Name in Steel,’ the company partners with top domestic and international mills to deliver a wide range of steel plate products to customers across the U.S. and worldwide.

Challenges

Leeco Steel introduced an online sales portal for their B2B customers over a decade ago. Logged-in users, typically buyers from enterprise manufacturers using steel in their production, have routinely accessed Leeco Pro to review negotiated contract pricing, inventory status, submit orders, check order status, and manage other account information.

Although Leeco Pro was still operational, the B2B portal was visibly aging and increasingly lacking modern functions, capabilities, security, speed, and performance. Some usability issues on mobile devices had also become problematic. Historically supported by their parent company’s IT department, website services like Leeco Pro had been encouraged to identify a new solution partner for next-generation development and support.

Solutions

Leeco Steel chose Americaneagle.com as its partner for strategy and redevelopment, drawn by the agency’s strong track record launching high-performance B2B solutions and its ability to align technology with established business goals.

In the initial project discovery ahead of redevelopment, Americaneagle.com identified an immediate cloud-hosting optimization opportunity for Leeco Steel. The portal’s contracted Microsoft Azure storage capacity was significantly exceeding the business’s actual needs. An adjustment to the cloud hosting contract led to thousands of dollars in monthly savings without any sacrifice to Leeco Pro performance.

From there, the redevelopment focus shifted to user experience. Every element of the new Leeco Pro was reimagined with the customer in mind—ensuring fast, accessible, and seamless performance across all devices. The design was guided by real user feedback and fully aligned with Leeco Steel’s brand standards, resulting in a portal that not only functions beautifully but also reinforces the company’s reputation for strength and reliability.

Americaneagle.com also engineered a secure, scalable portal foundation using custom-built Microsoft Azure Microservices. A streamlined single sign-on (SSO) experience now allows users to log in with their existing Google or Microsoft accounts, while account-level permissions support multi-user access for enterprise teams.

Enhanced B2B ecommerce functionalities are integrated throughout the new Leeco Pro. The quoting and ordering system now seamlessly integrates with Leeco Steel’s ERP system, Great Plains, ensuring real-time accuracy and efficiency. Buyers can easily access past quotes and orders, re-order with a simple click, and receive timely follow-ups from sales reps—all within a personalized, account-based dashboard.

Advanced search tools now allow users to filter inventory by detailed specs like plate size and thickness, making it easier than ever to find exactly what is needed. A dedicated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment was also created, giving Leeco Steel the ability to test new features before they go live.

Before launch, Americaneagle.com provided comprehensive training for their Leeco Steel partners. The feedback from users of the new Leeco Pro has been overwhelmingly positive. The reimagined customer portal is easy-to-use, intuitive, and available for clients to use 24/7/365.
