Americaneagle.com Redevelops Capital Metro Transit Site with New CMS
Digital agency, Americaneagle.com, has redeveloped the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro) website. CapMetro, headquartered in Austin, serves more than 30 million rides across bus, rail and paratransit services every year and serves more than 1.2 million residents of Central Texas. The CapMetro website now features a more manageable and accessible online experience for customers and staff.
To meet the requirements of CMTA and better serve its users, Americaneagle.com implemented a new Content Management System (CMS), the Sitefinity platform. This robust platform powers the website while supporting CMTA’s content requirements for initial development and provides long-term scalability for continued growth. The CMS also allows for the simple integration of custom third-party components and accessibility software.
The redeveloped capmetro.org website features user-friendly navigation with routes, transit schedules, and alerts displayed prominently. Americaneagle.com integrated Hawksearch with two data feeds: one from Sitefinity and one from CMTA with their bus routes and bus stops. Users are now able to find search results more easily while filtering their results by content type, resulting in the most current information. Americaneagle.com also integrated Siteimprove with the website to enable CapMetro to more easily manage the content quality and accessibility of their website.
