Cuyahoga County's Modernization Strategy Results in Sitefinity Website of the Year Award

The new Cuyahoga County website, https://www.cuyahogacounty.us, built by Americaneagle.com in conjunction with the County, has won a Progress® Sitefinity™ Website of the Year Award in the Government category. Americaneagle.com has had a presence in Cuyahoga County for 15 years, with an office located in suburban Westlake.

As part of Cuyahoga County's ongoing commitment to provide superior services to all its residents, the new website exemplifies this commitment by providing an exceptional customer experience. The new site aligns with the County's vision of modernization with an innovative, vibrant approach to ensure easy online access to County information and services.  

As a winner of a Sitefinity Website of the Year Award, an exceptional precedent has been set for other County websites, serving as the catalyst for revamping Cuyahoga County's network of 90+ websites across all other departments.

The County's online strategy outlines goals to improve the way information is presented to its citizens through a modernization plan. The new website achieves many of these goals, in that residents, visitors and businesses across the Cuyahoga County region benefit from an exceptional customer experience.  Cuyahoga County has invested in more efficient and less costly website technology that empowers its internal department content owners and IT team to reduce ongoing operational costs by managing and building new websites in-house. Additionally, the revamping of the County's network of websites simplifies and enhances the online experience for County residents. The new website is easy to use, and makes use of innovative action-based navigation – for example, users can choose to 'apply', 'find', 'get help for', 'learn about' or 'pay' to more efficiently find exactly what they're looking for. The new websites will share a common look and feel for consistency across departments – underscored by a design that delivers an intuitive mobile experience through responsive design.

Americaneagle.com developed the new cuyahogacounty.us site using the Progress Sitefinity content management system (CMS) and integrated Hawksearch, an advanced site search tool. All of the new features and functionality serve as a framework for other County websites, which are being worked on by the County with Americaneagle.com's ongoing training and enablement services.
