Americaneagle.com Recognized for their Work on Website for the Triple Crown’s Third and Final Leg: Wins “Outstanding Achievement” from the 2013 Interactive Media Awards
DES PLAINES, IL, May 20, 2013 – The 2013 Interactive Media Award winners were recently announced by the Interactive Media Council and Americaneagle.com was awarded "Outstanding Achievement" in the Entertainment category for their design and development of the New York Racing Association’s official website.
Nominations for the Interactive Media Awards are accepted from all over the world from web design companies, advertising agencies and corporate marketing departments, as well as individual web designers and graphic artists, among others.
The Interactive Media Award judges are distinguished professionals and members of the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the Internet. Judges are leaders in web design, advertising, public relations, publishing, news and other industries. They are considered experts in such areas as user interface design, communications and marketing.
The judges evaluate websites based on five different criteria: Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability and Standards Compliance. In order to win an IMA, the nominated website must excel in each criterion, rise above the competition, and deserve to be a top choice in the chosen target market. An "Outstanding Achievement" award is among the most challenging to win, and, according to the Interactive Media Awards, it means that the Belmont Stakes website excelled in all areas of judging criteria and it represents a very high standard of strategy and planning, execution, and above all, professionalism.
Americaneagle.com CEO Tony Svanascini said, "We here at Americaneagle.com are very proud to have won this award as thousands of entries from the U.S. and internationally were nominated and the IMA is an organization that is truly dedicated to recognizing online excellence and professionalism. We could not have done it without the terrific leadership from the New York Racing Association as they were clear on how they wanted to present the official Belmont Stakes website to horse racing fans, and we’re proud to call them a client."
