DES PLAINES, IL, August 7, 2013 – The 2013 Interactive Media Award winners were recently announced by the Interactive Media Council and Americaneagle.com was awarded "Outstanding Achievement" in the "Ecommerce" category for their design and development of the Capstone Young Readers website. In addition, they were awarded "Best in Class" in the "Celebrity/Fan" category for their design and development of the United Center website.
Nominations for the Interactive Media Awards are accepted from all over the world from web design and development companies, ad agencies and corporate marketing departments, as well as individual web designers and graphic artists, among others.
The Interactive Media Award judges are distinguished professionals and members of the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the Internet. Judges are leaders in advertising, web design, publishing, public relations, news and other industries. They are considered experts in such areas as user interface design, marketing and communications.
To win an award, the website had to successfully pass through the IMA comprehensive judging system. The judges utilize a points-based scoring system. By adhering to the specific guidelines and criteria of this system, the IMA judges are able to maintain the highest degree of fairness, accuracy and integrity; competently and effectively evaluate entries; and, deliver clear results.
The "Best in Class" award, won for the United Center website, is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. An "Outstanding Achievement" award is among the most difficult to win, and, according to the Interactive Media Awards, it means that the Capstone Young Readers website excelled in all areas of judging criteria.
Americaneagle.com President Mike Svanascini said, "We here at Americaneagle.com are very proud to have won these awards as thousands of entries from the U.S. and internationally were nominated and the IMA is an organization that recognizes online excellence and professionalism. We couldn’t have done it without the extraordinary collaboration from both Capstone and the United Center as they were clear on how they wanted to convey their online presence, and we’re proud to call both of these fine organizations a client."
