"Our online orders have increased substantially. As a matter of fact, we received more online orders in the first two months with the new page then we had in two years with our old page! I do not hesitate recommending Americaneagle.com when asked who designed our site."

Portals

As with many technology buzz words, "portals" initially caused a frenzy of excitement in the 90s and then evolved to more practical, realistic applications after the dot com burst in 2000-2001. Essentially, a portal is any personalized Web site that seeks to be the starting point for a particular need, industry or topic. At the macro level, a portal like Yahoo! seeks to be the entry point for any and all things related to the Internet. Similarly, Amazon.com seeks to be the entry point for any and all things for shopping. On a more specific level, however, an Americaneagle.com Web site like www.bengals.com is a portal for all things about the Cincinnati Bengals; www.parkridge.us is a portal for all things at the city level; and if you are a chef, our www.chefwear.com Web site might be just the portal for you.

Of course, portals may be internal as well. As a corporation or government agency, you may seek to create an internal portal that allows you to communicate more effectively with your employees. This might include document sharing, HR forms, project management systems, lead management tools... even yesterday’s company softball scores.

Portal Web sites can be an extremely effective means to reach your target audience and establish an online tool specific, and essential, to their needs.

Contact Americaneagle.com and find out how we can help you achieve your portal goals.
