The Village of Wilmette, Illinois recently paired up with Americaneagle.com with several redesign goals: to improve the general impression of the village, expand village outreach, enhance website navigation, and create a better overall look and feel. The Village of Wilmette was also looking to increase the number of visitors coming to the site and generate a variety of feedback from different user groups via polls, email, forms, etc. The website also needed to be built to support the local business community. To accomplish these goals, Americaneagle.com worked closely with village staff to ensure that all areas of the website were built to accommodate all of target audiences: residents, businesses, tourists, new residents, and Village of Wilmette employees. Since its launch in early 2009, the website has seen a significant increase in website visitors.
