Situation: Before coming in contact with Americaneagle.com, NewYork.com was maintaining a Web site that was generating a steady stream of traffic, but lacking the elements necessary to live up to its full potential.

Objective: NewYork.com was looking for the design, development, and hosting of a unique new e-commerce portal. In turning to Web partner Americaneagle.com, NewYork.com’s goal was to rectify the site’s existing weaknesses and take advantage of its strengths. This would be done by creating a new presence that would increase overall traffic, increase exposure of the NewYork.com brand to both domestic and international users, increase customer loyalty, and more.

Solutions: In order to achieve their goals, Americaneagle.com has worked with NewYork.com to enhance the site’s overall look and feel as well as its functionality. Several phases have been outlined with the project and Americaneagle.com is continuing to work with NewYork.com to further the site’s success. The following are among the many new elements of the new NewYork.com:

Enhanced Design: Americaneagle.com worked with NewYork.com to design a Web site that enhances the user experience to the highest level. The new site portrays the excitement and energy of New York through vivid imagery and bright colors, while also maintaining a clean overall look and feel using modular design elements.

Intuitive Navigational System: Prior to redevelopment, NewYork.com had a navigational system that was unclear and inconsistent. Following a complete redesign of the system, navigation is now easy and intuitive. With color-coded tabs on each page, users can easily find the information they seek. Furthermore, interior navigation options within pages allow for simple narrowing with minimal clicks.

Integration: Americaneagle.com worked with NewYork.com to integrate many portions of their Web site with several third-party providers. Integration will continue to play a large role in the Web site, as Americaneagle.com continues to integrate many other key portions of the site, including ticketing.
