Fairfax, VA – July 23, 2008 – Americaneagle.com, a leading Web site design, development, and hosting company and Welz & Weisel Communications, a strategic technology-focused public relations firm, today announced the successful Web site launch of the Run! Geek! Run! 8K charity race, set to take place on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 8am EDT in West Potomac Park, Washington D.C. 100 percent of the proceeds from this event will go to support the Equal Footing Foundation, a Virginia based 501(C)(3) nonprofit focused on youth development and education and is the charitable arm of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).

The interactive site www.rungeekrun.net offers a variety of information regarding the event, from registration details and descriptions of the Equal Footing Foundation, to sponsorship opportunities and training tips for runners. Visitors are provided race specifics which include a detailed map of the racecourse, a breakdown of awards and options on corporate and group challenges. Those interested in participating but not running, will find information on how to volunteer.

“We are looking to make this an annual first-class event which is why we turned to Americaneagle.com for the development of the Web site,” said Race Director and Principal of Welz & Weisel Communications, Evan Weisel. “They have great experience building sites for national and local organizations ranging from sports teams to technology companies to government agencies. This site is where most people will go to learn more about the event and so we needed a proven and reliable team to put it together for us. I believe Americaneagle.com knocked it out of the park for us.”
